What is a Canvas Print?
Canvas prints are a modern alterative to traditional picture frames. Our canvas prints are photographs or images blown up and printed onto 350gms 100% cotton canvas material.
This canvas material is stretched and secured over an expandable wooden frame called 'stretcher bars'.
Once secured, the frame is then stretched using specially made wedges which tighten the canvas over the frame.
The end result is a picture that looks like a 'slab' on your wall that is a much more modern alternative to traditional picture frames.
The picture is continued around the edges of the frame to produce a neat and effective finish.

What is a proof?
A proof is basically your image cropped to the correct size to fit the frame size requested along with any effects. Photographs usually come in a landscape or portrait layout which do not automatically fit all frame sizes (particularly square frames).
For canvas prints we clearly mark around the outside of the image the areas that will be used to wrap around the wood frame. The image contained within this marked off area will be visible from the side of the canvas but not the front.
We take pride in our work and will only produce the finished canvas/photo once you (the customer) is happy that the image will contain the correct image, not losing any vital areas in the process if any scaling is required.

How long will my prints last?
Using the new Epson UltraChrome K3 inks, Colour prints will last 75 years, and Black & White prints will last 100 years or more.
The more direct sunlight an image receives the more chance this has of fading the print. We use special UV protective coatings with our prints so this effect will be minimal but we do recommend placing your prints out if direct sunlight if possible.
