Heh folks sorry for the delay in the news, this damn snow has been playing havoc with staff but it looks to be over now. We can now get the business back to normal and get you all some wonderful works of arts delivered to grace your lovely homes!
So what are our plans this year? Well as Mr Brown is promising the recession is hopefully coming to an end and with that our volume of sales will return to normal, last year was very tough for us but due to our loyal and growing customer base we got through it (just!).
This year will are going to do our best to get our prices down even further as we are currently negotiating cheaper supplier costs, we have already sourced a much better quality of canvas and as always promised will continue to use only EPSON branded ink with our printers for the best quality results. We are also going to get the gallery page on our website updated and will have a much larger quantity of images for you to choose from including Tryptrch (3 part) canvases available to buy.
We will do our best to keep the news updated for you all and we wish you all the best for 2010 and a speedy recovery from the recession!

WOW!! It's winter already! Mr Sun is going to bed early, the nights are drawing in and let's be honest, it's fricking freezing!!! Some of us have already started wearing 2 pairs of socks :[
Where does the time go? We can't believe it's October already... it'll be Chrismukkah before we know it. Talking of which :)

Well... Call that a Summer? We've seen hotter blizzards!
Rain, rain, oh look, a nice day, rain and more rain. Bah! Who needs a suntan anyway. They're always saying how bad it is to get too much sun.

No news is good news sometimes and we've not much to report. The recession is in full effect and it's not looking like it's going to ease up any time soon...
Fear not though, we're still here and have no plans to shrink our business in any way, shape or form. Infact, we're looking into expanding and are currently seeking new avenues to explore.
In the meantime, we're still el número uno canvas print service on the web and are here for all your canvas print, photo print and graphic/web design services.

Bah, it’s all doom and gloom at the moment… recession, redundancies, reduced rates, Labour this, Obama that…. Fear not though, we bring good news and it’s not political. We’re all about pleasing people, printing beautiful prints and saving you money and having seen the prices some of our competitors were charging, we seriously thought about upping our prices. But, being the lovely people that we are, we’re freezing our prices for the foreseeable future.
Yes, there are “cheaper” companies you could go to but what do they give you exactly? We found out… with some good old fashioned, Miss Marple type detective work… or was it the new fang dangled colour calibration instrumentation we have… not to mention our killer attention to detail.
Whilst some companies “claim” to use official inks and papers, it’s quite obvious they use third party consumables. How can we tell we hear you ask? Quite simple really. Colour Management and the fact we sent an image to one of our competitors (an international well known brand).
Printing and photography go hand in hand, but what happens if what you see on screen isn’t what is printed on paper. Usually you get total misrepresentation of the actual image with bland colours, saturation, low contrasts in black and white and basically, a bad print. We also noticed that the image we sneakily sent off to be printed by this so called “professional printing company” was not enlarged correctly with noticeable “jaggys” and blurred detail. Anyone can enlarge an image, especially with so many image editing packages out there, but to do this properly requires patience, skill and bespoke image interpolation software.
We only ever use official Epson inks, Epson print paper and along with the best quality canvases, we do not cut costs and only offer you the very best prints you can get. Along with using official consumables, we calibrate our monitors and printers monthly, this ensures perfect quality prints, each and every time.
With more and more photography studios charging literally hundreds for a set of prints, we recently produced a set of canvases for a customer who was looking at a charge of over £700 for a series of prints. Reluctant to spend so much (and who can blame them), they decided to bring the photos to us where we printed, mounted and delivered saving them nearly £400. Shocking we know, but happy we are.
Before you go anywhere, all we ask is you try us first, we promise you won’t be disappointed.
One last note, we are working on a new image gallery which should be up some time soon. Can’t afford that Banksy work of art… watch this space.

Christmas has come and gone and we hope everyone had a good time and did not indulge too much! As for us we had a well earned break over the festive holidays and enjoyed a fantastic works doo that had pizza, beer and all the trimmings!
Turning to this year we hope that our low prices will mean the orders will keep rolling in and we would appreciate any feedback you could give for a new "testaments" page launching soon. Simply drop us an email telling us how lovely you think we are and we'll put them on show.
So that we can provide the most accurate prints we have recently moved to a new calibrating platform which so far has served us very well indeed. All our monitors have now been calibrated to the print industry standards which means in simple terms that the colours our staff see on their monitors are a perfect match with regards to the output of our printers on your canvas and photo prints.

Wow!! How fast did that come around!! 9 days till the big day of overeating, drinking, cheese and crackers, kids squabbling, wrapping paper mountains, turkey, satsumas and the good old Queens speech (if your into that kind of thing). Personally, we'll be watching E.T or some other old wrinkly being.
With all the news about credit crunch this, VAT rates that we didn't expect to be that busy this year. Oh how we were wrong. It seems that people are chosing more "meaning" gifts rather than just buying a loved one or a friend something "off the shelf", gifts with that personal touch just can't be beaten. Hence, we've been pretty busy to say the least.
Unfortunately, even we have to say no at some point and to that extent. We will be closing the studio as from the 19th December. You can still make your orders and payment but we will not be processing any more orders until we return on the 5th January.
Until then, we wish you all a very merry christmas and a happy new year. Please be safe, don't drink and drive and at some point, try and think about those who aren't having so much fun.
Rather than send christmas cards, why not donate the money to a charity and just give everyone a quick call wishing them a happy christmas instead. You get to feel a nice warm tickely sensation deep inside, a charity gets some much needed donations and whoever your calling gets a personal phone call off you wishing them christmas wishes and new year tidings.
Is that sleigh bells i hear? I better get the mince pies, carrots and whiskey...

Where do the months go? It's surprising how long it takes to rebuild a studio and with only 7 weeks till Christmas. How scary is that!
Fear not though, with the new studio freshly decorated, we're ready for the madness that is Christmas. So here's our handy hint:

Alot has happened in the last couple of months. We've redesigned and rebuilt our custom print studio, even managing the plastering ourselves (we're not just computer nerds). All this whilst printing over 1 acre of canvas since our last post. That's alot of happy canvas customers.
Spreading the word, you can see us in this months edition of "Mums in Control" featuring none other than Myleene Klass.
One last note, we donated our old computers to our local school, helping those who haven't got access to a computer at home to learn all about the tools of the future, who knows, they may even end up working for us one day.

OK, we spoke too soon... who stole the sun? One of the wettest August's since records began! Still, with the rain rather than the sun, at least it restricted the flying insects that usually accompany a hot summer.
Site updates... we've added a few images to our restoration page to show off our technical restoration abilities.
The young para you see below is none other than R.S.M. Dennis Edward Kelly, taken during his parachute training.
The original photo was taken back in the early 70's, so it's seen plenty of action since, not to mention the man in the photo.
The photo was digitally scanned and brought into our editing software where we digitally restored and enhanced the image, bringing back the original colour, quality and feel.
The RSM (as he like's to be called) was one happy chappy:

I would just like to say thank you for the restoration and canvas reprint. I have fond memories of that day and each time I look at the new canvas hanging in the hallway, it brings it all back, as well as making my knee's shake!

Who needs to go abroad when we have weather like this! It's like Costa Del South Wales at the moment. Our office has registered 32 degrees C on several days this month.
Alas, with the sun comes the bugs and one day in particular during July, we had an extraordinary amount of flying ants.
Steve (technical genius) managed to capture a good macro shot (getting covered in ant's in the process) and actually had it published in a BBC article on the subject of flying ants.

Expanding our sales and sharing the love for our products, we are very proud to announce we have teamed up with several public sector bodies including the NHS offering discounts to staff.

What a month! With all the news about interest rates, inflation, housing and jobs lately we expected it to be somewhat quieter, and it was.
Whilst our printers were thankful of the peace and quiet, behind the scenes our marketing has been quite the opposite.
We are happy to say we have now teamed up with Halifax Bank of Scotland and are offering their hard working staff 10% discount off all orders. Having worked with HBoS (not to mention several other banking institutions) in the past we're looking forward to catching up with the staff we know and miss.

And finally. We have also been out on the streets. Unlike Jacqui Smith, we don't think the nation is in that bad a state and actually enjoyed getting out and doing some good old fashioned marketing whilst cutting our carbon footprint... leaflet dropping and luckily for us, it didn't rain.

"a fresh new funky all singing, all dancing web site to advertise our new look and new services complete with online shopping cart and 100% secure payment system is what we want... and then some!" so we got to work.
Several months later, after sitting down and discussing what is required then putting paper to pixel. This is the finished site.
Customers wanted a fresher look and feel, along with secure online shopping and, as all good retailers should know and practice, what the customer wants, the customer gets.
A fresh looking, easy to use web site with a new shopping cart and checkout process. More answers to your questions, information on our very successful trade options, and even a news section, what more could you ask for? :)
